Review Cheapest Sony Bravia ZX Series Ultra Thin HD LCD TV

Review Cheapest Sony Bravia ZX Series Ultra Thin HD LCD TV

Affordable Sony Bravia ZX1 Series Ultra-Slim LCD Full HD Wireless TV

Affordable Sony Bravia ZX1 Series Ultra-Slim LCD Full HD Wireless TV

Manufacturers are constantly competing to create the smallest, thinnest and lightest products and if the experts keep reducing the size of everything, there may be certain technologies that disappear off the face of the earth altogether.

OK so perhaps that’s a bit over dramatic, but the race to create the World’s thinnest TV is most definitely on and, right now, Sony are taking the lead.

The new Sony Bravia ZX Series is a range of LCD TVs that are less than 1cm thick. At their thinnest point, the Sony Bravia ZX1 HD LCD TVs are just 9.9mm wide. That’s thinner than a CD case and about the same thickness as a piece of toast (Warburtons thin sliced, not toastie).

The ZX series has BRAVIA ENGINE 2 technology to help create a crystal clear picture in both standard definition and full HD, so films can be displayed at their very best and gaming isn’t half bad either!

There’s not much point in owning a flatscreen TV is your not going to mount it on the wall, but hanging cables can often ruin the overall look. BRAVIA 1080 Wireless technology provides a super fast connection to transmit the audio/visual signal from the separate media receiver to the widescreen display in real time. No cables, no mess!

The media receiver can be kept hidden to maintain the minimalistic look of the TV and when you want to connect a DVD/Blu-ray player or a games console, you hook it up to the receiver not the actual TV. The wireless receiver also makes it possible for users to get Freeview Channels on the Sony Bravia ZX Series thanks to the digital tuners that are built in.

If you’re worried about losing signal by keeping the Media Receiver out the way, then don’t. It uses Radio Frequency technology which doesn’t have the same limitations of Infra-Red signals, so if an object is blocking the Media Receiver it can still function fully.

Unlike most conventional TVs, the Sony Bravia ZX series doesn’t use fluorescent lamps to light up the screen. It is instead illuminated from the sides with LED technology, both a cool and hi-tech feature.

Motionflow 100Hz technology and Image Blur reduction also improve the performance of the Sony Bravia ZX Series, as frames are sent across the screen at 100 frames per second to support fast moving pictures like sports and scrolling text.

When the Sony Bravia ZX1 Ultra Thin HD LCT TV isn’t being used, it can function as a huge digital photo frame. The screen never has to be blank, as your still photos can be displayed in a HD quality slideshow via USB or from the pre-loaded selection on the Media Receiver.

So how much do you pay for the World’s thinnest TV? Well, one of the cheapest places to buy a Sony Bravia ZX 40″ HD LCD TV is direct from Sony at SonyStyle.co.uk.

You can buy a 40″ Ultra Slim Full HD KDL-40ZX1U Sony Bravia TV for £3,119.00 from SonyStyle.co.uk.

You can buy a 40″ Ultra Slim Full HD KDL-40ZX1U Sony Bravia TV with a Wall Bracket and Speaker for £3,389.00 from SonyStyle.co.uk

Introducing the new Samsung 7 Series Ultra Slim 46″ LED TV - Reivew Cheapest Here!

Introducing the new Samsung 7 Series Ultra Slim 46″ LED TV - Reivew Cheapest Here!

Cheap Samsung 7 Series LED Ultra-Slim 40" and 46" TVs at Comet

Cheap Samsung 7 Series LED Ultra-Slim 40" and 46" TVs at Comet

LCD and Plasma TVs seem to have taken over a bit lately and we think it’s about time they made way for some LED beauties.

Seeing as the last TV we discussed here on MyShoppingTips.com was Panasonic’s 103″ beast, it will be difficult to make any other TV sound as good but I’ll give it a good go!

Samsung have recently launched their new 7 Series range of LED Ultra-Slim TVs which features 40″, 46″ and 52″ models.

The 46″ Samsung LED is a super-slim 29.9mm thanks to the removal of chunky florescent tube lights that are found in standard LCD televisions. Such a slim TV has a place and can only look its best when mounted on a wall.

Luckily this has never been easier, thanks to Samsung’s new innovative wall mount. The Samsung 7 Series Ulta-Slim LED TVs will only sit 2 inches away from the wall once mounted and it can even be lifted away from the wall at the base to allow access to all the connection points.

The new Samsung 7 Series Ultra Slim 46″ LED TV displays visuals at 100Hz frame rate with clever Motion Plus technology. When compared to the 50Hz frame rate found on conventional TVs, you can see that the Samsung 7 Series displays more seamless and fluid images with less chance of blurring.

The 46″ screen displays images in 1920 x 1080 Full HD, so colours are incredibly vibrant and fast-moving action scenes are at their best.

The crisp picture quality combined with the Trusurround Sound System makes the Samsung 7 Series Ultra Slim 46″ LED TV perfect for watching DVD boxsets or Blu-ray discs on, as it will provide the ultimate home cinema experience.

If you’d rather watch TV than movies, you’ll be happy to hear that the Samsung 7 Series LED TVs comes with all freeview channels and a 7 day electronic programme guide thanks to an integrated digital tuner.

There are plenty of inputs including an SD Memory Card Reader and USB connection and the Samsung 7 Series 46″ LED TV can even be used as a PC Monitor.

LED TVs are often better than LCD and Plasma displays, because you often get better viewing angles for your money and reduced glare. The Samsung 7 Series range is also very good looking with a sleek black design, subtle amber frame and optional Swivel Stand.

You’ll also be able to enjoy Medi@2.0 that is buil-in to the Samsung 7 Series LED Range. This enables you to access the internet through your TV, watch multi-media content like pictures and videos, access the content flash library and wirelessly connect you laptop, PC or mobile up to the TV using DLNA wireless technology.

One of the cheapest places to buy the new Samsung 7 Series Ultra Slim LED TVs is Comet.

You can buy a 40″ Samsung 7 Series Ultra-Slim LED TV for£1599.99 from Comet.

You can buy a 46″ Samsung 7 Series Ultra-Slim LED TV for£1999.99 from Comet.

Yes Man on DVD - Available to Pre-order from HMV for £11.99

Yes Man on DVD - Available to Pre-order from HMV for £11.99

The film ‘Yes Man’ starring Jim Carrey is based on the 2005 book and true story ‘The Yes Man’ by Danny Wallace.

‘Yes Man’ tells the story of Carl Allen, a bank employee who has a bleak outlook on life. Since divorcing his ex-wife Stephanie (Molly Sims), Carl has withdrawn from life and prefers to stay at home having a DVD marathon that to go out with his friends.

Carl will avoid social gatherings at all costs and is an extremely negative man, but when he bumps into his old friend Nick (John Michael Higgins) his whole life takes a dramatic turn.

Nick is what’s known as a “yes man” and persuades Carl to go and see the guru Terrence Bundley (Terence Stamp) and attend one of his Yes! seminars.

Carl reluctantly agrees to start saying “yes” to every opportunity that presents itself to him, which ends up getting him into some sticky situations including giving a homeless man a lift, joining a Persian dating website, having an unfortunate intimate experience with a much older women and taking up Korean language classes.

Not all the situations he finds himself in are bad though, as accepting more invitations leads him to meet Allison (Zooey Deschanel), a quirky young lady who he becomes instantly smitten with.

However, when Allison finds out that Carl was only saying yes to things (including moving in with her) because he “had to” she doubts whether his commitment was ever true. When Carl’s ex-wife Stephanie turns to him for a shoulder to cry on when she splits up with her new bloke, Carl is even more confused.

It seems saying “yes” to everything wasn’t such a good idea after all…

If you like Jim Carrey in ‘Liar Liar’ and the Ace Ventura movies, you’ll love ‘Yes Man’. Carrey hasn’t lost his touch just yet and is definitely the master of comedy.

Yes Man is the sort of film that you could watch fifty times and still find hilarious!

The ‘Yes Man’ DVD is due for release on Monday 20th April, but you can pre-order a copy today if you can’t wait to get your hands on it.

You can pre-order a copy of Jim Carey’s ‘Yes Man’ on DVD  for £11.99 from HMV.com

The cheapest place to pre-order a copy of Yes Man is HMV, where it’s available for the bargain price of £11.99!

‘When is the new Gadget Show starting?’ - Review and Air Date

‘When is the new Gadget Show starting?’ - Review and Air Date

New Series of The Gadget Show

New Series of The Gadget Show

I hate to break it to you, but it’s already started!

Yes, The Gadget Show Series 11 started last night, Monday 9th March, and came back bigger and better than ever! As you may be aware by now, we at MyShoppingTips simply love hearing and writing about the latest gadgets, which is why we simply love The Gadget Show.

They started the series with another of their great challenges. This time we followed Suzi and Jason in competing to film, edit and screen an action sequence, who fought using state-of-the-art special effects technology against consumer kits. We saw the likes of Panasonic and Samsung camcorders fight against FXhome VisionLab Studio and Alienware. They also discussed 3D TV, and compared Walkmans against iPods.

If you have never watched an episode of The Gadget Show, you may be wondering what it is all about. Well, it’s simple. A group of gadget and gizmo loving presenters put to the test the latest products in the world of technology, often comparing them against cheaper and more expensive models so that you, the consumer, can choose the right product for your needs and budget.

The Gadget Show seriously puts the gadgets to the test, putting them through a sequence of appropriate tasks to make sure that the gadget performs to the highest possible standard.

The presenters then analyse the results, often giving the products individual marks for performance, price, and design. They then add the marks up, and crown one of the products the winner or best buy, meaning you, the viewer, know which product is the best based on practical tests.

The great thing about this show is that appeals to both the more ‘geeky’ viewer who actually understands all the technological jargon, whilst remaining accessible to the rest of the public. The Gadget Show is great for those who are considering buying a new technological product, as they are (usually) unbiased, and want to help you make an informed decision without promoting a specific brand.

Above all else, The Gadget Show is simply an exciting, funny and inspiring show, even if you are not that bothered about gadgets or gizmos. The presenters are put through their paces in silly (yet informative…) tasks, and are always fun to watch making complete idiots of themselves!

So, if you are into ground-breaking technology, wacky competitions and just generally being kept in the know, then make sure watch the new series of The Gadget Show.

You can catch The Gadget Show Series 11, Mondays at 8pm on Five. The next episode airs Monday 16th March 8pm on Five.

Huge 60″ Pioneer PDP-LX6090-UT Plasma KURO TV Review and Price Information…

Huge 60″ Pioneer PDP-LX6090-UT Plasma KURO TV Review and Price Information…

Pioneer PDP-LX6090-UT 60" HD Ready TV - £3799.99 from Comet.co.uk

Pioneer PDP-LX6090-UT 60" HD Ready TV - £3799.99 from Comet.co.uk

I’m pretty sure the Pioneer PDP-LX6090-UT 60 inch TV is one of the biggest and best Plasma televisions.

If you’re wondering what the ‘KURO’ is all about, it actually translates to black (or should I say perfect black) in Japanese.

This is an important feature for modern television, as the deeper the black of the TV is, the richer the colour in the picture will be. This is due to the fact that black takes in the entire spectrum of colour, therefore providing a near perfect display.

The Pioneer PDP LX6090UT has a whopping 60 inch widescreen plasma display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and iCLEAR Drive technology to optimise the image quality for crystal clear viewing.

What’s more, the Pioneer PDP-LX6090 is just 93mm thick (or thin rather!) and has an integrated digital tuner with all the freeview channels plus a 7 day electronic programme guide!

The Pioneer PDP-LX6090 60″ Plasma is HD-Ready and has a Nicam Stereo Sound System for all your audio needs.

It has an impressive viewing angle of 178 degrees and a desktop TV stand is included in the package!

This sleek 60″ plasma has been described as “nothing short of stunning” in reviews and it definitely lives up to that.

The features are everything you could ask for in a Plasma TV and it’s not often you get such a massive television with a perfect picture too.

There’s nothing bad to be said about the 60″ Pioneer PDP-LX6090 and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed in its performance.

Quality such as this doesn’t come cheap however, but the Pioneer LX6090 is still affordable.

You can buy a Pioneer PDP-LX6090-UT 60″ Plasma TV for £3799.99 from Comet, which I think is a reasonable price for what you are actually getting.

If you think you deserve a treat or you want to get a gift for someone, buy a Pioneer PDP-LX6090 60″ Plasma HD Ready TV now from Comet.co.uk!
